Go Nisha Go: My Life My Choice
An award-winning USAID-funded mobile game empowering adolescent girls in India through interactive storytelling — I served as Technical Lead on full-stack Unity development.
About the Project
Go Nisha Go is a story-driven mobile game built under USAID's "Game of Choice, Not Chance" initiative, co-designed with adolescent girls (ages 15–19) across Hindi-speaking regions of India. Players guide Nisha through five game levels, making choices around health, relationships, education, and career that mirror real decisions girls face, with each outcome shaping knowledge and decision-making confidence.
The game links players to over 25 real-world partner organizations for hotlines, legal aid, and menstrual health resources directly in-game, and includes AskParo, an in-game AI chatbot for private, judgment-free questions.
A peer-reviewed randomized controlled trial published in Reproductive Health found the game significantly improved players' reproductive health knowledge and decision-making confidence.
My Role
I served as Technical Lead, owning full-stack Unity development — gameplay systems, tooling, performance, and release pipelines — from prototype through to a shipped, award-winning product on the Google Play Store.
